Can changing the biology around a plant change what happens above the ground? We want people across Britain to help test that question using a simple matched comparison.
Two plants. One treatment. One control.
Choose two closely matched plants and keep the variety, planting date, growing medium, pot size or bed conditions, watering and position as comparable as practical.
One plant receives the BioCharge Britain treatment. The other remains untreated. Participants then record plant and wildlife observations over time.
Baseline
Photograph and record both plants before treatment.
Intervene
Apply the supplied treatment only to the designated plant, following the public instructions.
Compare
Keep other practical conditions as similar as possible.
Measure
Record flowering, health, water stress, pests and wildlife observations.
Simple observations that become useful at scale.
Plant performance
First flower, open flower count, flowering duration, visible vigour, wilting, survival and final photographs.
Wildlife
Pollinator visits and other visible wildlife activity. Where appropriate, participants can use established observation approaches such as timed counts.
Growing conditions
Watering, major weather events, pest or slug observations and any material difference between the two plants.
